The Nature of Bamboo 11.June.2008
Bamboo plays an important role in rural development of Indonesia. Bamboo is found in natural forests, plantation forest and in community forest area in many villages of Indonesia, mostly in Java, Bali, Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, Irian Jaya, and Nusa Tenggara. Some of the Indonesian bamboo species have been cultivated by people for hundreds of years in their back yards and gardens. It is one of the multipurpose plant species cultivated almost in Indonesian rural areas.
Bamboo culms are commonly used as contruction materials of the households in rural area whereas bamboo handicrafts provide an important additional income. The wide uses of bamboo give more employment opportunities and better income distribution.
Bamboo, in a skillfull work of art, will emerge into beautiful bamboo furniture & gazebos with all the warmth and natural vibes of the bamboos. In our hands those bamboos are created into various gazebos suitable for outdoor use and bamboo furniture for home furnishings.
There is nothing more eco-friendly and authentic in natural way other than bamboo.
